Veil Information -
** Please read **
Except for our Chiffon styles, our wedding veils are are made
from a soft bridal illusion material
(a very fine polyester
netting).
|
 |
Standard
Cut Veils: Our standard veils are cut in a
rounded shape and are also referred to as "Top
Gathered". The top straight part of the veil, as shown in the
drawing on the left, is gathered all the way and then attached to a
comb. The veil edging goes all around the veil, up to sides of the face.
(See pictures below) |

|
Circular Cut Veils: Most of our
2-layer veils are also available in a "Circular Cut". This type of veil is also known as "Center Gathered". The veil is cut in a circular shape, folded, gathered
in the middle and then attached to a comb. The sides of the veil fall in soft folds. The
veil edging does not go up to the face. This type of veil is not
suggested if you want to wear a "Blusher" (the veil you pull over your face).
Additional charge: $5.00. (See
picture below) |
Cascade Cut Veils:
Cascade veils are cut from a special pattern that
creates a cascading side effect (gentle waves down the sides). They are made
from 108" or 72" wide, soft Bridal Illusion material and are available in
single
layer styles only.
Angle Cut Veils:
Angle Cut veils are similar to
Cascade veils, except the bottom of the veil comes to a point.
They are cut from a special pattern that
creates a cascading side effect (gentle waves down the sides). They are made
from 108" or 72" wide, soft Bridal Illusion material and are available in
single
layer styles only.
108" wide veils are the standard veil fullness found in
most Bridal Shops. Due to the wider veil material, 108" wide veils are fuller (have more "poof") than veils made from 72" wide or 54" wide material
when gathered and sewn to a comb.. Thus, less of
your dress will be seen through a 108" wide veil. If you want more of
your dress to show through the veil (or just want less veil fullness), then we suggest ordering either a 72" width veil
or a 54" width veil.
The less veil width, the less fullness or "poof" will be seen once the veil is
gathered and sewn to a comb.

Our standard veils are available in:
White,
Diamond White (also known as Off-White, Natural White, Winter White,
Antique White or Silk White), Ivory or
Pink (sample colors below). Our Ivory color (also known as
Candlelight) is a light Ivory
(not a dark yellow Ivory). If your gown is called "Ivory" then our Ivory
color veiling should work with your gown just fine.
Due to the differences in computer monitors,
room lighting, video cards and screen settings, the below sample veil colors
will vary from computer to computer. If you're not sure of your dress
color, we would suggest ordering our free sample
veil swatches for your
in-person comparison of our veil colors before ordering from us.

** Sparkle
Veils **
We now offer "Sparkle
Veils". What exactly is a
sparkle veil?. The manufacturer takes a standard, high-quality bridal tulle and
applies a glazing to the veil material which causes the fabric to sparkle. The
glazing is what gives the veil a subtle sparkle. The real sparkle shows only
through flash photography or bright sunlight. If you are in a reception location
with lots of bright lights, the veil will have a slight sparkle to it. In
normal, indoor lighting the sparkle is very subtle. But, when you exit your
church or ceremony location in the bright sun you will be encircled by a soft,
radiant glow of sparkle. Sparkle Veils are $15.00 extra.
** Scattered Pearls and/or
Rhinestones **
The following
veil accents are optional: Scattered 4mm Pearls, Scattered 4mm Rhinestones or Scattered
4mm Rhinestones & 4mm Pearls.
Adding such accents to a veil will make the veil a custom order, and thus exchangeable
for same style and color only.
No Refunds
** Type of Comb **
Unless ordered with a headpiece that requires
the veil to be attached, all our veils are sewn to your choice of either a 4" Satin
Covered Plastic
Comb (Free), a 3" Satin Covered Plastic Comb ($5.00) or a
4" Silver Metal Comb ($5.00).
A plastic comb works with any type of hair. A metal comb works best with normal to thick hair. The veil is sewn to the end of the comb making the comb invisible
once placed into the hair.

** Measuring
before ordering **
We suggest having
someone measure you using a cloth measuring tape to determine the length of the
veil you would like. Depending on the Headpiece you've chosen (and/or where the
veil will be placed on your head), will determine if you measure from the
middle or the back of your head. Also, we recommend that you allow 1 to 2 extra inches to allow for the
gathering of the veil and the flow of the veil from the comb. If you have any
questions about how to measure, please write or call.
If you don't find the veil
length that you're looking for,
we can custom make a veil in any length you would like.
Please
E-mail us for information and pricing.
**
Blusher **
If
you are wanting to wear a "Blusher"
(the veiling that you pull over your face), you can use the first layer
of our standard cut 2 layer veils as a blusher (just as long as it reaches your
bust line). Before ordering your veil, measure yourself using a
cloth measuring tape (from where the veil will be attached) down to the middle
of your
bust line. If the first layer of our 2 layer veils is a bit longer, this
is okay. You just don't want the blusher to be too short. If you
have any questions, feel free to
E-mail us.
